Your Accounting support expertise is required for this small, but highly efficient team! Your new company

Our client is based in Broadbeach, and due to a recent vacancy, they require an experienced and driven Assistant Accountant in a full-time role to join their team and facilitate the day-to-day accounting operations of the business. This position has varied responsibilities across the accounting support spectrum and will require a determined individual with the ability to work in a collaborative environment to support management.

Your new role

This is a multi-faceted full-time and permanent role ideal for someone keen to develop their skills and further enhance their career opportunities in the Accounting field. You will be an integral member of a highly effective finance team and assist with a range of different accounting and administration tasks as required. Your key responsibilities are, but not limited to:

Full function accounts receivable / payable

Cash Flow / Bank Reconciliation

BAS preparation

P&L / Balance sheet

Invoicing

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience in a similar role and a high work ethic. You will need to be competent in ERP packages and have had experience working in a small to medium business. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate solid technical accounting expertise, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and an eye for detail. You will be motivated and willing to get involved in all parts of the finance and administration process. Additionally, you will have the ability to multitask, excellent time management and be very professional. Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Accounting software knowledge would be highly regarded.
