Role: Financial Accountant

Term: Contract 6 months

Start date: Immediate start

We're hiring a Financial Accountant to take ownership of core financial reporting and controls within a high-growth, market-leading SaaS business in London.You'll work closely with an experienced Finance controller in a fast-paced, scaling environment where accuracy, strong controls and disciplined reporting are critical. This is a hands on role focused on strengthening the integrity of the finance function as the business continues to grow.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and take full ownership of the year end audit process, acting as the primary contact for external auditors, the global finance function, and local advisors.
• Oversee the month end close by reviewing key balance sheet reconciliations and posting accurate, timely journal entries.
• Analyse monthly financial performance, delivering clear actual vs forecast variance commentary to senior stakeholders.
• Produce monthly and quarterly turnover rent certifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lease agreements.
• Respond to ad-hoc audit, compliance, and reporting requirements as the business scales.
• Drive process optimisation initiatives, identifying efficiencies and strengthening financial controls across the function.

What would the ideal person look like:

• Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Previous experience in SaaS companies is essential
• Strong experience in group reporting or financial analysis
• Confident navigating ERP/reporting tools
• Comfortable collaborating across multiple teams
• Curious, proactive, and eager to make a difference
