Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant is the accounts receivable lead for the District and ensures funds owed to the District are collected in a timely manner. This position supports the District's accounts payable supervisor with accounts payable and credit card activities while ensuring all processes are performed in strict adherence with the District's policies and procedures and in accordance with sound financial management principles and practices. This position requires a strong working knowledge of automated accounting systems (currently QMLATIV).  The Staff Accountant  reports to the Accounting Manager.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance or related field. Additional professional level experience may substitute for required education.
• Three (3) years of experience in accounting or accounts payable related positions required.
• Public school experience preferred.
