McCallum & Kudravetz, P.C., a Charlottesville law firm established in 1982, is seeking an experienced CPA to join our Tax Department as a Senior Tax Accountant. Our attorneys and CPAs work side by side across Estate Planning, Real Estate, Business Law, and Taxation. Our Tax Department prepares returns for individuals, trusts and estates, partnerships, and corporations. This is a long-term, career-track position for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working directly with clients.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review individual, fiduciary, partnership, and corporate returns, and related state filings.
Review returns prepared by other staff and provide technical guidance.
Support year-round tax planning, often in coordination with the firm's attorneys.
Communicate with clients in plain language and respond to taxing-authority notices.

Requirements
Active CPA license.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant public accounting and tax experience preparing returns across individual, trust, and business entity types.
Experience reviewing returns strongly preferred.
Strong working knowledge of federal and Virginia tax law (multi-state experience a plus).
Proficiency with professional tax preparation and accounting software (UltraTax a plus).
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and confident interacting with both individual and business clients.
