Description

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and assisting with accurate consolidation of results across Australia and New Zealand in line with statutory, regulatory, and taxation requirements.
- Assist with audit processes by preparing documentation for internal and external audits, helping maintain strong financial controls, and ensuring clear, well-supported evidence is available.
- Contribute to core financial operations such as cash flow tracking, forecasting, budget preparation, and supporting commercial finance activities, including monitoring customer and supplier obligations and providing financial insights to operational teams.
- Collaborate across the business to support finance projects, performance improvement initiatives, and continuous enhancement of financial systems, processes, and controls, while completing other finance tasks as required.
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline, with progress toward CA or CPA certification required (completed qualification advantageous).
- 2-4 years' experience in a commercial or professional services accounting role, with a solid understanding of accounting standards, compliance requirements, and hands-on involvement in month-end processes and audit activities.
- Strong technical aptitude with proven Excel capability and experience working with ERP or accounting systems in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and collaborative finance professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills, an eagerness to learn, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to manage competing priorities in an evolving workplace.
