Assistant Accountant_6-Month Contract_Perth CBD_Immediate Start Your new company
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a well-established hospitality organisation on a 6-month maternity leave contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations.

Your new role
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working across revenue reconciliation, accounts receivable, banking, and general ledger activities within a fast-paced environment. Hospitality experience will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities

Daily revenue reconciliations and income auditing

Investigating and resolving revenue discrepancies

Performing daily bank reconciliations

Accounts receivable processing, allocations, and collections

Credit card and account reconciliations

Managing customer payment queries and debt collection follow-up

Assisting with month-end reporting and journal preparation

Supporting end-of-month and end-of-year processes

General ledger reconciliations

Providing support across the wider finance team as required

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant, Finance Officer, or similar

Strong reconciliation and accounts receivable experience

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

Strong problem-solving and communication abilities

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines

Hospitality, accommodation, or hotel industry experience highly regarded

Relevant Accounting, Finance, or Commerce qualification preferred
