The Opportunity
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role is critical to the ongoing success and financial integrity of the organisation. As a key member of the finance team, you will be hands-on across core accounting, reporting, and compliance activities while working closely with senior leadership, external tax advisors, and wider finance stakeholders.This position offers broad exposure across multiple entities and provides an excellent platform for someone looking to further develop their technical capability and progress their career within a growing group.
Key Responsibilities

Preparation of month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations

Month-end close processes across multiple entities and divisions, including management accounts

Maintenance of the fixed asset register (additions, disposals, depreciation)

Calculation and monitoring of project contract assets and liabilities

Oversight of daily transactions and support with cashflow management

Review, recording and reconciliation of foreign exchange transactions

Preparation of monthly GST returns

Preparation of annual income tax and FBT calculations

Preparation of consolidated annual financial statements for the group

What You'll Need to Succeed

Demonstrated experience in a similar financial accounting role

Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) highly regarded

Strong working knowledge of Income Tax, GST and FBT

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Strong technical accounting capability with high attention to detail

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Project / job costing experience highly regarded

A collaborative, proactive and motivated approach
