Your new role
As a Senior Accountant/Team Leader, you will work across general taxation/compliance and SMSF accounting, giving you valuable exposure to both areas. Your role will include managing a varied client portfolio, preparing financial statements and tax returns, and reviewing SMSF work.Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
• Reviewing SMSF work produced by an outsourced team
• Responding to client and ATO queries with a proactive approach
• Reviewing general work prepared by junior staff and providing guidance where required
• Working closely with senior team members on complex matters

This role is ideal for a Senior Accountant/Team Leader looking to broaden their expertise or strengthen their SMSF capability while maintaining exposure to general accounting clients.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• CA or CPA qualification (or near completion)
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant in public practice
• Hands-on experience in general tax and compliance
• SMSF experience or a strong desire to develop in this area
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset
• The ability to manage deadlines and work autonomously
