You'll join a high-performing finance function made up of technically strong, commercially minded professionals from both Big 4 and industry backgrounds. This is a newly created position driven by continued business growth and increased capability requirements across the finance team. Joining a finance function of approximately 15, you'll work closely with experienced leaders focused on scaling the business, improving processes, and building a finance function that operates efficiently and professionally.

Your Role:

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll take ownership across core financial accounting responsibilities including:

• Preparing and reviewing monthly general ledger reconciliations, journals, accruals, and adjustments
• Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with AASB
• Managing tax compliance obligations including BAS, PAYG, and payroll tax
• Supporting internal and external audits and responding to audit queries
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Supporting continuous improvement across controls, processes, and systems
• Contributing to finance projects and broader process enhancement initiatives

You will bring:

• CA or CPA qualification (must have)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly around AASB (must have)
• 5-7 years' experience across financial or management accounting
• Exposure to Australian tax compliance requirements
• Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Dynamics, or Xero
• Strong Excel capability and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Big 4 or mid-tier experience will be viewed favourably, however strong industry accountants with solid technical foundations are equally encouraged to apply.
