As we continue to grow, we are seeking a professional, ambitious, and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper/Admin to join our company. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience.
Position Summary
The Senior Bookkeeper/Admin is responsible for all aspects of a timely and accurate accounting close, with a strong emphasis on construction accounting and complex contractor billings, using a proprietary ERP system and QuickBooks Contractor. This role also supports insurance and HR functions, including annual benefits renewals, and prepares year-end documentation for the external CPA firm, para-legal type administrative task including contract review, lien filings and miscellaneous other administrative tasks based on business and senior leadership needs.
The Senior Bookkeeper/Admin reports directly to the Director of Accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a timely and accurate monthly accounting close
Handle complex construction billings, including:
Schedule of values
Lien waivers
Electronic billings
Oversee Accounts Receivable invoicing and collections
Manage and supervise the Accounts Payable function
Provide backup and support to the Director of Accounting
Assist with insurance administration and annual benefits renewal
Review contracts to ensure compliance with company requirements
Prepare year-end reconciliations and supporting schedules for CPA review
Ensure compliance with corporate tax requirements, including sales tax
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and personnel information
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
Contract review experience
Extreme attention to detail and accuracy
Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong team player with company-wide collaboration experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Architectural signage or construction industry experience is a plus
Advanced working knowledge of QuickBooks Contractor
Solid understanding of:
Construction accounting
Corporate taxes and sales tax

This is an office-based, hourly position, working 40/hours a week and overtime, when needed.
